Description
Welcome to Our Homesteading Classes!
Our family offers a homesteading curriculum designed for children and families of all experience levels. We’re so excited to share our passion for homesteading and sustainable living through these fun and hands-on classes to help your family start homesteading! Our 2026 program will run from March to May and September to October. New to 2026, we will be offering our homesteading classes for homeschool and school groups to book on a day outside of our regular class day each month.
One Topic • One Class • One Full Month
Every month we focus on one homesteading topic.
The lesson, activities, and take-home projects stay the same all month so families know exactly what to expect.
We offer three ways to participate each month:
Monthly Schedule at a Glance
Public Class — First Wednesday
On the first Wednesday of every month, we host a Public Homestead Class, open to all families.
Best for: individual families, small groups, first-time visitors
What it is:
Our monthly class open to everyone
Hands-on activity + themed lesson + animal interaction
First Wednesday of each month
One class time (listed on our calendar)
Group Booking Window — All Month After the Public Class
After the public class, the rest of the month is open for group bookings.
Best for: homeschool groups, co-ops, clubs, daycares, camps, schools
How it works:
Pick any day/time after the public class – see flyer for dates
Schedule the monthly class privately
Same lesson and take-home project as the public class
Discounted group rate at $10/child and parents free – minimum of 15 paid kids (2 and under free) or $150 flat fee
Available the remainder of the month – see chart in flyer for specific dates!
Open Play Day — Third Monday
New this year!
On the third Monday of each month, we offer Open Play, a relaxed, child-led experience where kids can explore the homestead, visit the animals, and enjoy themed games tied to that month’s topic.
Best for: families wanting relaxed exploration + themed fun
What’s included:
Free-play time around the homestead
Gentle animal interactions
Themed games tied to the monthly topic
Example: Chicken Month → giant “Count Your Chickens” + chicken wheelbarrow races
Third Monday of each month
Our Age Groups
Each age group reflects the different ways kids tend to engage with our homestead activities. Some are natural explorers, some benefit from a little parent support, and others love rolling up their sleeves and diving deeper into each project. All children learn together, and these groups simply help us plan and prepare for the variety of learning styles we welcome each month. If you feel your child’s style fits another group than their age that is listed, feel free to reach out — we’re totally flexible!
Our youngest visitors are welcome to tag along free with a paid sibling. They aren’t included in take-home projects but are encouraged to explore, observe, and enjoy the homestead while older siblings participate.
These early learners participate in all class activities with hands-on support from a parent. Perfect for curious little helpers who are ready to try new skills with guidance.
Independent and eager to learn, this group takes on projects with minimal assistance. Parents are not required to help during class but must remain on-site while their child learns and explores.
